The best AI crawler tracking tools in 2026: see what GPTBot, ClaudeBot, and PerplexityBot actually fetch
Seven tools that show AI crawler activity on your site, from free CDN dashboards to enterprise log analysis, ranked on how well they connect crawls to AI visibility.
Most AI visibility work starts with the answer: did ChatGPT name you? But there's a step before that which decides a lot. If GPTBot, ClaudeBot, or PerplexityBot can't fetch a page, or keeps hitting a 404 or a blocked path, that page won't be cited, however good it is.
AI crawler tracking tools show you that layer. They differ a lot in what they connect it to. Some show crawler traffic in isolation. Others put it next to the prompts and citations it affects, which is where it becomes useful for GEO.
We build VisibilyRanking, so we rank it first and explain why. Everything else comes from published plans and product pages as recorded in our tool notes.
What a good AI crawler tool shows
- Requests by crawler and page. Which bots fetched which URLs, and how often.
- Errors. Status codes, especially 404s, 5xx errors, and blocks.
- Control. Whether you can allow or block specific crawlers.
- The link to visibility. Whether a crawl problem maps to a prompt or citation you're losing.

1. VisibilyRanking
VisibilyRanking reads crawler logs from your CDN or host and shows GPTBot, ClaudeBot, and PerplexityBot requests page by page, with status codes. What makes it more useful than a standalone dashboard is that the same product tracks your prompts across eight engines and shows which pages each engine cites. So when you lose a prompt, you can check whether the page that should win it was crawled at all, and whether the bot got an error.
That connection is the whole point. A 404 on an old blog post may not matter. A 404 on the comparison page that should answer your most valuable prompt matters a lot. Pricing is quoted after a demo.
2. Promptwatch
Promptwatch shipped AI crawler log tracking early, as Agent Analytics. It shows real-time logs for ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther, and Meta AI's crawler, with crawl-to-citation paths and error tracking. Integrations cover Cloudflare, AWS CloudFront, Fastly, Vercel, Netlify, Akamai, Google Cloud CDN, and custom HTTP. Crawler logs start on Professional ($245/mo, 25M logs) and rise to 100M on Business.
3. Cloudflare AI Crawl Control
If your site is on Cloudflare, start here, because it's free. AI Crawl Control shows AI crawler requests over time by crawler, operator, and hostname, status code distribution, popular paths, and robots.txt health. You can allow or block each crawler, enforced as a WAF rule. AI referral data needs a paid plan (Pro from $20). It doesn't track prompts or citations, so you'll still need a visibility tool to know which crawl problems cost you answers.
4. Scrunch AI
Scrunch Core ($250/mo) includes AI agent and bot traffic reporting alongside 125 tracked prompts on four LLMs. On Enterprise, its AXP serves AI-optimized versions of your pages directly to crawlers, a different approach from fixing the source pages.
5. Qwairy
Qwairy adds crawler analytics on its Business plan (€449/mo, or €374/mo annually), along with 800 prompts, Looker, and alerts. Lower plans don't include it.
6. seoClarity
seoClarity's Technical package (from $3,200/mo) includes site audits, unlimited crawl pages and projects, and log file analysis. It's a classic enterprise SEO approach; AI search visibility tracking sits in a separate ArcAI add-on.
7. Botify
Botify focuses on enterprise crawl and feed infrastructure: fast content delivery to AI agents, enriched product feeds, markdown delivery, and log-file analysis of how OpenAI crawls a site. It's sales-led with custom pricing and suits large catalogs.
Which one fits
On Cloudflare and just want to see the bots? Use AI Crawl Control. Running an enterprise technical SEO program? seoClarity or Botify. If you want crawler data tied to the prompts and citations it affects, look at the top two.
