VisibilyRanking vs Gauge (2026): daily answer volume or the full visibility loop?

Gauge runs a high daily prompt volume on three platforms and bundles a content engine. VisibilyRanking covers eight engines with crawler logs and traffic attribution. A plan-by-plan comparison.

Gauge makes a clear pitch: lots of answers, every day, plus content production in the same subscription. For teams that care most about cadence and want articles shipped alongside tracking, that's an appealing package.

VisibilyRanking makes a different bet. We think the hard part of AI search isn't collecting more answers. It's working out why an engine picked someone else and fixing it. That takes crawler data, citation sources, and traffic attribution next to the tracking. Gauge details below come from its published pricing page as recorded in our tool notes.

The quick verdict

Gauge suits teams focused on ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, and Copilot who want very high daily prompt volume and a fixed monthly article quota. VisibilyRanking is the better fit if you need wider engine coverage, AI crawler logs, and AI-referred traffic tied to conversions.

Gauge's plans

  • Growth ($599/mo): 600 prompts run daily, about 54,000 answers a month, three platforms (ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot), 18 articles a month, three seats, a single location, and unlimited domains and competitors.
  • Enterprise (custom): six core platforms plus optional Claude and Grok using your own API keys, sentiment analysis, exports, and custom prompts, articles, seats, and locations.
  • Agency Mode ($300 per active client per month): each active client instance, with pitch workspaces included at no extra charge.

Gauge also lists citation intelligence, ChatGPT Ads tracking, an MCP server, nightly content Health Score audits, and GA4, Search Console, and Slack integrations. There's a one-week free trial.

Engine coverage

Growth covers three platforms. If ChatGPT, AI Mode, and Copilot are where your buyers are, that's fine. Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude are not in that list, and Claude and Grok on Enterprise depend on your own API keys.

VisibilyRanking tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, Grok, Meta AI, and Google AI Overviews on every account. If you don't yet know which engines your buyers use, tracking all of them for a few weeks is the cheapest way to find out.

Volume vs. the prompt set

600 prompts a day is a lot of data. Whether it's useful depends on the prompts. Gauge's single-location limit on Growth also means a multi-market brand needs Enterprise to track the same question across countries.

VisibilyRanking scopes the prompt set to your market on the demo: buyer questions grouped by topic, persona, and country. We'd rather track 150 prompts your sales team recognizes than thousands nobody would ask.

Content

Both tools write. Gauge includes a fixed quota of 18 articles a month on Growth and audits content nightly with a Health Score. VisibilyRanking's content agent drafts from specific gaps (a prompt you're losing, a page that ranks in Google but never gets cited), and drafts wait in a review inbox before reaching your CMS. A quota is predictable. Gap-driven drafting is targeted. Which you prefer depends on whether your bottleneck is output or aim.

Crawlers and traffic

Gauge doesn't publish an AI crawler-log product or visitor analytics that tie AI-referred visits to conversions. Its GA4 integration helps on the traffic side, but that's different from tagging AI visits and following them to signups.

VisibilyRanking connects to your CDN or host and shows GPTBot, ClaudeBot, and PerplexityBot requests page by page, including errors. Its traffic script tags visits from AI engines and follows them through to signups and sales.
